    Estelle Parsons is an Academy Award-winning American actress, singer, and stage director who is best known rose to prominence for her portrayal of Blanche Barrow in Bonnie and Clyde in 1967 and as Calla Mackie in Rachel, Rachel (1968). Other than that, she is also known for her sitcom role of Beverly Harris on Roseanne, and its spinoff The Conners.

    1. She was born at Lynn Hospital in Lynn.
    2. Estelle started off her career as a student of law and branched off into joining a band as a singer. After that in the 1950s, Estelle began to take a liking in acting.
    3. During her adult years, Estelle relocated to New York City, where she started working for The Today Show as a writer, producer, and commentator.
    4. She appeared in her first Broadway production of Happy Hunting in 1956. Estelle continued to work in Broadway until 1961 when she made her debut off-Broadway appearance.
    5. In the year 2004, Estelle was inducted into the American Theatre Hall of Fame. Later, in 2009, she received the Woman of Achievement Award from the Women’s Project Theater.
    6. She is a huge Liberal Democrats supporter.
