The band went on its first headlining tour named The Make Out Tour in 2016.

- In the year 2014, the band released its first EP Acronyms and one of its songs titled ILYSB became quite popular.
- LANY released its first eponymous studio album on June 30, 2017, via Polydor Records and it includes the band’s popular song ILYSB. The album was ranked at number #4 on US Top Rock Albums (Billboard) chart and New Zealand Heatseeker Albums (RMNZ) chart, at number #5 on US Top Alternative Albums (Billboard) chart, and at number #32 on US Billboard 200 chart.
- On October 5, 2018, the group released its 2nd studio album named Malibu Nights through Side Street Entertainment and Polydor Records. Billboard described the album as the band’s “most vulnerable work to date” and a set of “nine lush pop songs” and it was ranked at number #36 on the US Billboard 200 chart.

- The band has served as a supporting act for ‘s Zella Day On Tour (2015), ‘s Badlands Tour (2015-2016), ‘s Blue Neighbourhood Tour (2016), ‘s Delirium World Tour (2016), and ‘s The Search for Everything World Tour (2017).
