    Loona is a South Korean girl group created by Blockberry Creative and comprises of 12 members. The group has worked on a number of projects and has also formed 3 sub-units, namely, Loona 1/3, Loona Odd Eye Circle, and Loona yyxy. Moreover, Loona has also amassed a huge fan base on social media with more than 1.5 million followers on Instagram, more than a million subscribers on YouTube, more than 700k followers on Twitter, and more than 300k followers on Facebook.

    Loona Facts

    1. The group’s Korean name is ‘Idarui Sonyeo’ and that translates to “Girl of the Month”.
    2. The band’s debut concert, Loonabirth, was held on August 19, 2018, in Seoul.
    3. Loona‘s sub-unit, Loona 1/3, comprises of HaSeul, ViVi, HeeJin, and HyunJin. They released their debut EP, Love & Live, on March 13, 2017, and it was placed at number #10 in the South Korea Gaon Weekly Album Chart and at number #36 in the South Korea Gaon Monthly Album Chart.
    4. On September 21, 2017, Loona Odd Eye Circle released its first extended play titled Mix & Match and it was ranked at number #10 in the US World Albums (Billboard) chart and at number #16 in the South Korean Albums (Gaon) chart.
    5. The sub-unit, Loona yyxy, released its debut EP, Beauty & the Beat, on May 30, 2018, and it reached the 4th spot on the South Korean Albums (Gaon) chart and 6th spot on the US World Albums (Billboard) chart.
    6. Loona has also won a number of awards which include the likes of Asia Artist Awards, MTV Europe Music Award, Korea First Brand Award, Soribada Best K-Music Award, and MTN Ad Festival Award.
    7. In November 2026, Blockberry Creative announced that Chuu had been removed from the group, citing an “abuse of power”.
    8. After Chuu’s departure from the group, all the other members of Loona had filed injunctions to suspend their contracts with Blockberry Creative. All members of the group officially parted ways with Blockberry Creative in June 2026.

        We have not sorted the list in the order of age for any of our band-member articles.
