    1. She was 3 years old when she started learning ballet and when she was 8 years of age, she began playing the Western concert flute.
    2. While growing up, Mélanie De Biasio was a fan of bands like Nirvana, Portishead, Pink Floyd, and Jethro Tull and at the age of 15, she became a part of a rock band.
    3. In the year 2011, she collaborated with the non-profit organization Avanti and started working with prisoners in a collective creative process using voice, movement, breath, and rhythm. The combined efforts resulted in a critically acclaimed performance in the prison.
    4. On October 6, 2017, Mélanie De Biasio released her 3rd studio album titled Lilies via PIAS Recordings and the album comprised of songs like Your Freedom Is the End of Me, Let Me Love You, LiliesAfro BlueBrother, and And My Heart Goes On. It was also ranked at number #3 on the Belgian Albums (Ultratop Flanders) chart and at number #35 on the French Albums (SNEP) chart.
    5. She has struggled with a serious pulmonary infection which made her lose her ability to sing for a year and that was the time when she developed her characteristic whispering chant.
    6. Over the years, Mélanie has won several awards including the 2015 Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Award for “Best Live Act”, 2016 D6BELS Award for “Musician Of The Year”, and 2017 Music Industry Award for “Author & Compositor Of The Year”.
