- Mickey has been friends with Maroon 5 bandmates and since childhood. The three used to play at small events in town.
- Mickey and his bandmates were inspired by bands such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
- In 1994, Mickey and his friends Adam and Jesse formed the band Kara’s Flowers after they got their first drummer Ryan Dusick. However, the group didn’t last very long and soon fell apart.
- Mickey has been playing the bass since childhood. He started off in his garage playing with the future members of Maroon 5. Since then, he continues to come up with the best bass guitar tones.
