Vijaya Gurunatha Sethupathi popularly known as Vijay Sethupathi is an Indian actor, lyricist, dialogue writer, and producer. As soon as he completed his degree, he joined as an account assistant at a wholesale cement business. Later, he moved to Dubai, UAE and worked as an accountant. The job paid him 4 times more of what he was getting paid in India. As he was unhappy with his job, he returned to India. He joined Koothupattarai, a prominent Tamil theatre group after working for a short period in the marketing company that dealt with readymade kitchens. Director Balu Mahendra’s remark on the actor about having a photogenic face motivated him to enter the film industry.

- Vijay Sethupathi has worked as a salesman at a retail store, phone booth operator, and also as a cashier at a fast-food joint before stepping into the film industry.
